Chinese Style Spareribs |
| |
| 1/2 c butter |
| 1 envelope soup mix, beefy onion |
| 1/2 brown sugar |
| 1/4 c vinegar |
| 1 med clove garlic, chopped |
| 16 oz tomato puree |
| 1/4 c imported soy sauce |
| 1/4 c chili sauce |
| 5 lbs. ribs |
| |

Preheat oven to 375f.In large saucepan, melt butter and cook garlic with
soup mix over medium heat until garlic is golden. Stir in puree, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar and
chili sauce. Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in large
aluminum foil-lined baking pan or broiler rack, arrange ribs, meaty side up and bake 20 minutes. Brush
ribs generously with sauce, then continue baking, meaty side up, brushing occasionally with the
remaining sauce, 50 minutes or until ribs are done. |

| 1 1/2 T butter |
| 1 1/2 T flour |
| salt to taste |
| 1 1/2 c milk |
| 8 oz elbow macaroni, cooked |
| 8 oz ground cured ham |
| 1/2 c shredded mild cheddar cheese |
| 1/2 bell pepper, chopped fine |
| 1/2 c milk |
| |
Blend butter, flour and salt in saucepan. Cook until bubbly. Stir in 1 1/2
c milk. Cook until thickened,
stirring constantly. Layer macaroni, ham, cheese, green pepper and white
sauce 1/2 at a time in
greased 9X13-inch baking dish. Pour 1/2 c milk over layers. Bake at 350f
for 30 minutes. |

Pizza |
| |
| 1 pkg. Neeses hot sausage |
| 1 small clove garlic |
| 1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed tomato soup |
| Shredded mozzarella cheese |
| 6 English muffins |
| oregano and crushed red pepper, if desired |
| |
Brown sausage in skillet with garlic. Add soup
and simmer. Meanwhile, split, butter and broil
English muffins until toasted. Spoon sauce on muffins. Top with
cheese, sprinkle with oregano and
red peppers. Place in 400f oven until hot and cheese is melted. |

Rice and Ham Casserole |
| |
4 slices diced bacon
1/2 c green pepper
2 T onions
1/2 c Heinze chilli sauce
2/3 c water
3 c cooked rice
1 1/2 c cubed ham (1/2 lb)
1 c grated sharp cheese
|
Partially sauté bacon, add pepper and onion; sauté
until tender. Stir in chilli sauce, water; mix well.
In a casserole dish combine sauce mixture with rice and ham and cheese. Bake
350f for 20 minutes..
Top with 1/2 c more of cheese and bake 10 min. longer or until hot. |

Sausage Ring
2 lbs. sausage crumbled
2 T onion, minced
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c fine dry toast or bread crumbs
Lightly grease a 9-inch ring mold. Mix all ingredients
well and pack into mold. Bake at 350f for 20
mins.. Remove and pour off excess drippings. Bake 20 mins. more. Turn onto
platter. Fill inside of
mold with scrambled eggs. Serves 8-10 persons. |

Sausage Rolls |
| |
| 1 lb sausage, browned, drained |
| 1 recipe Bisquick roll biscuits |
| |
Make biscuit recipe according to pkg. Divide in half and roll into 2
rectangles. Spread dough with
sausage and roll "jelly roll" style. Chill until firm. Slice 1/4 inch
thick and bake 10 mins. at 300 - 325f.
Yields about 30. |

Swiss Ham Ring-Around |
| |
| 1 c fresh or frozen chopped broccoli, uncooked |
| 1 T butter, softened |
| 1/4 c chopped parsley or 2 T flakes |
| 2 T finely chopped onion |
| 2 T prepared mustard |
| 1 t lemon juice |
| 3/4 c shredded Swiss cheese |
| 1 5oz can chunk ham, drained and separated into chunks or 1 c diced ham |
| 1 8oz can crescent rolls |
| grated Parmesan cheese |
| |
Heat oven to 350f. Cook and drain broccoli. In large
bowl, combine butter, parsley, onion, mustard
and lemon juice. Blend well. Add cheese, broccoli and ham; mix lightly. Set
aside. Separate
crescent dough into 8 triangles. On greased cookie sheet, arrange triangles,
points towards the
outside, in a circle, with bases slightly overlapping. The center opening
should be about 3 inches
in diameter. Spoon ham filling in a ring evenly over base of triangles. Some
filling may fall onto
cookie sheet. Fold points of triangles over filling and tuck under bases of
triangles at the center of
the circle. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or
until golden brown. |
